Nicki Minaj thinks Keke Palmer should have maybe kept this moment to herself.

But it’s all in good fun. The “Super Freaky Girl” rapper took to X (formally known as Twitter) in response to the Nope actress recalling a chat they had—in which she imitated the musician perfectly.

“Oh, what a Ki…Ki…,” she jokingly wrote on X Nov. 21. “Ummm why would she ever tell that story? Doesn’t she know that could mess up the whole ‘bad guy’ thing? Let’s see if she still laughin when she get hit w/ that cease and desist chi – the bad guy Chun-Ki…Ki.”

ICYMI, the Baby, This is Keke Palmer host recalled the moment she first met Nicki, 41, at the 2024 Met Gala.

After having her first conversation with the rap superstar via DMs, when she helped her secure the photographer for her baby shower, they finally came face to face during fashion’s biggest night.

And Keke—who shares son Leodis, 21 months with Darius Jackson—was a little nervous, but she still wanted to say thank you.

“So I walk over there and she’s in the middle of talking to them,” Keke recalled on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon Nov. 19, right before altering her voice to do a spot-on impression of Nicki. “And she’s like, ‘Uh huh, you I need to talk to you. Hold on.’”

As for Keke, she noted she didn’t know what to expect in the moment. “And I’m like, ‘I done did something. Nicki’s about to cuss me out at the Met Gala,’” she added. “And I was like I’m gonna sit here and wait and see what she has to say.”

But the “Chun-Li” emcee just wanted to show a little love.

“Look, I don’t read the press, I don’t know everything that’s going on,” Keke said continuing her spot-on imitation. “But I just want to tell you, nobody knows what it’s like when we turn off the lights and we gotta be by ourselves, so you do whatever you need to do, to be good with you.”

And the Under the Boardwalk star couldn’t have enjoyed the chat more. “I was like ‘Yasss, I love this speech,’” she quipped. “I was not expecting that.”

However, Nicki isn’t the only star who got the Keke Palmer impersonation treatment.

The same day, Keke spoke on The Toast podcast and recalled a voicemail that she got from Will Smith early in her career.

The Master of Me author re-enacted the voicemail the Oscar winner left after he learned that she wanted to emancipate herself from her parents.

“Hey, Keke. It’s Will,’” Keke said while impersonating the Fresh Prince of Bel Air star. “‘We’re over here doing Karate Kid with [my son] Jaden. I just want to let you know I talked to [your lawyer]. He let me know everything you’re going through, and I want you to know sometimes it’s hard being the first, but you’ll get through. Just keep staying focused, love on your family, and y’all gonna be good.’”
